Both Focusing and the Feldenkrais Method® trust the body’s inherent capacity for self-organization and discovery. Through my writings and the practices I offer, I invite you to recognize and explore three stages that deserve attention within every learning process: noticing and acknowledging, letting something new arise, and integrating. I also offer a framework for understanding how various learning principles—grounded in the way the human nervous system learns—can support each stage in specific ways. These principles can help create the conditions in which we can recognize our ways of being in the world, and in which something new can genuinely arise, take root, and become part of how we live.
